1:1 Prototype

After finished the 1:2 prototype that showing all the inner structures and components, I began to work on the 1:1 prototype. Some of the materials were available for me such as wood, plastic (by 3D printing), foam board, and so on. But none of them fit my requirements such as easy to make at home (due to the busy GSA workshop and closure of it), so I decided to use a candle. 

The whole body of 1:1 prototype is made of candle, and a piece of 3.5mm interface from a pair of earphones. In order to show its 'wearable' feature, I also attached a necklace to it at one end of the prototype. 

Prototype

After the decision made, I have started to make a quick prototype using paper rolls and tape. This prototype consist of five parts: base, framework, battery, 3.5mm interface, and head (cover). In the design, all the components such as processor, sensors are installed on the framework, a cell battery is suppose to provide power to the device. 3.5mm interface can be connected to the phone. The scale of this prototype is 1:2.
